Abstract
Abstract Purpose: To prepare a stable and reproducible composite film of alendronate sodium (ALN) and type I collagen (COL I) on the surface of nanohydroxyapatite (nHA) coating. Method: nHA coating was electrochemically deposited on the surface of pure titanium (PT), using 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) and 1-ethyl-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide. Hydrochloride (EDC) is used as a coupling agent to combine ALN and COL I on the coating surface to prepare nHA/ALN/COL I and nHA/COL I/ALN composite films. The nHA coating was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Composite membrane. Results: ALN and COL I can be combined with the nHA coating through coupling agents, changing their binding order, and forming nHA/ALN/COL I and nHA/COL I/ALN composite films respectively. Conclusion: nHA/ALN/COL I and nHA/COL I/ALN composite membranes formed by chemical combination methods have different ALN sustained release potentials.
