Abstract
In order to explore the effect of collagen (HC) and compatibilizer maleic anhydride-grafted low-density polyethylene (LDPE-g-MAH) on the properties of polymer materials, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) was used as the matrix and blended with HC/LDPE composite materials and HC/LDPE-MAH composite materials were prepared by extrusion method, and the composite materials were injection molded into splines of different specifications. The effects of HC and LDPE-g-MAH content on the structure and properties of HC/LDPE and HC/LDPE-MAH composites were studied through characterization methods such as mechanical property testing, SEM and thermal analysis. The results show that when the HC addition amount is 5wt%, the tensile strength of the HC/LDPE composite material reaches the maximum value of 15.824MPa; the addition of LDPE-g-MAH can significantly improve the interfacial adhesion, improve the material’s mechanical properties and thermal stability. When the HC content is 20wt% and the LDPE-g-MAH content is 4wt%, the tensile properties of the HC/LDPE-MAH composite material are optimal.
