Preparation And Properties Of Novel Collagen-Based Ph-Sensitive Hydrogels

Abstract
Under UV irradiation, using H2O2 as the initiator, collagen/polyvinylpyrrolidone/acrylamide (Collagen/PVP/AM) pH-sensitive hydrogel was prepared by graft copolymerization. The effects of raw material ratio and drying method on gel swelling properties were investigated, and its pH sensitivity and pH swelling-deswelling characteristics were studied. The prepared hydrogel has a fast swelling rate, and the water absorption rate can reach about 94% in 5 minutes. The prepared hydrogel has obvious pH sensitivity and good pH swelling-deswelling reversibility. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) results show that while maintaining the collagen triple helix structure, chemical cross-linking occurs between the materials, and the thermal stability of the material is significantly improved, thus expanding the Material application range.
