Abstract
The interfacial polymerization method was used to coat thyme essential oil with methyl methacrylate-butyl acrylate copolymer as the wall material, and finally thyme essential oil nanocapsules were prepared. The effects of the amount of emulsifier, essential oil and wall material on the particle size of thyme essential oil nanocapsules were investigated and applied to antibacterial skin collagen. The results show that when the dosage of polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester (T-20) is 3%, the dosage of essential oil is 12%, and the dosage of wall material is 5%, the average particle size of the thyme essential oil nanocapsules prepared is 152.20nm. . The thermogravimetric loss rate of nanocapsules prepared when the dosage of thyme essential oil is 12% is 11.57% higher than that of polyacrylate nanoparticles, indicating that the essential oil has been loaded into the nanocapsules. Thyme essential oil nanocapsules can effectively inhibit Aspergillus alba, Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus flavus in skin collagen. After being left for 12 days, the antibacterial effect of nanocapsules with 12% essential oil on skin collagen was higher than that of nanocapsules with 6% essential oil.
