Abstract
As a renewable biomass resource, natural organic fiber is biodegradable and exhibits a certain oil-absorbing ability. In recent years, research as an oil-absorbing material has attracted much attention. This article first outlines the research and development trends and oil absorption mechanisms of organic oil-absorbing materials, then details the structural characteristics of natural organic fibers, summarizes and evaluates their functional modification technology, and points out that using natural organic fibers as the matrix, through hydrophobic modification By constructing surface microscopic roughness to obtain a superhydrophobic and lipophilic surface, constructing a suitable porous structure and introducing photodegradation and other modes, it is expected to obtain an ecologically friendly oil-absorbing material with both outstanding oil-absorbing performance and controllable degradation ability. In particular, the application potential and existing problems of protein fibers (especially collagen fibers) in the field of oil absorption are summarized and prospected.
