Abstract
Objective: To study the selective removal effect of collagen fiber adsorption materials on tannins in Polygonum cuspidatum, as well as the adsorption and desorption properties of tannins. Methods: Using skin collagen fibers as raw materials, adsorbent materials were prepared through glutaraldehyde cross-linking reaction. This adsorbent material was used to selectively remove tannins from Polygonum cuspidatum extract, and analyzed and detected by gelatin-turbidity method, gelatin-UV spectrometry and HPLC. Use ethanol aqueous solutions of different concentrations to conduct static elution tests on the adsorbed tannins to determine the concentration of the eluent. On this basis, dynamic adsorption and desorption tests were conducted in a fixed bed, and the gelatin-turbidity method was used to detect the removal status of tannins. Results: The prepared collagen fiber adsorbent material has high adsorption selectivity for tannins and can completely remove tannins from Polygonum cuspidatum extract without basically losing the active ingredient (resveratrol); the adsorbent material adsorbs tannins It can be desorbed with 30% ethanol aqueous solution and can be reused after desorption. Conclusion: Collagen fiber adsorbent materials can be used for highly selective removal of tannins from Polygonum cuspidatum extract.
