Study On Collagen Immobilization On Surface Of Glycolactide Copolymer By Plasma Treatment

Abstract
Plasma was selected to activate the surface of glycol-lactide copolymer (PLGA) to graft collagen. By measuring the water contact angle on the surface of the PLGA material after plasma treatment, it was determined that the optimal treatment power was 60W and the time was 5 minutes. XPS analysis determined that the carboxyl groups on the collagen surface reacted with the plasma-activated hydroxyl groups on the PLGA surface to form ester groups, thereby grafting the collagen to the PLGA surface. Mouse embryonic endothelial fibroblasts (3T3) were cultured on the surface of PLGA material. Experimental qualitative observation confirmed that collagen grafting is beneficial to cell adhesion and proliferation. The tetramethylazolium blue colorimetric method (MTT) was used to quantitatively analyze the growth of the two cells at different stages. The results showed that the presence of grafted collagen improved cell adhesion and accelerated cell proliferation.
