Abstract
The structure of fucoidan extracted from kelp was analyzed using FTIR and UV. Using partial thromboplastin time, prothrombin time and thromboplastin time as evaluation criteria, a preliminary evaluation of its anticoagulant activity in vitro was made, and compared with the anticoagulant activity of heparin. The results show that fucoidan has a polysaccharide structure similar to that of heparin and has good anticoagulant activity, but it is lower than that of heparin. Fucoidan is fixed on collagen, and the resulting collagen-fucoidan complex still has certain anticoagulant activity.
