Abstract
Objective: To explore the effect of intragastric administration of type ¢ò collagen (C ¢ò) on the body weight and sole thickness of mice with adjuvant arthritis. Methods: Through preliminary experiments, the optimal intragastric dose of 0.2mol/LC II was screened out to be 0.6mL/d; then the mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal group, prevention group, treatment group and model group for formal experiments; Finally, the body weight and sole thickness of mice in each group were measured at different periods before and after inflammation. Results: The body weight of the mice in the prevention group and the treatment group showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing. The thickness of the soles of the mice showed a significant decreasing trend after 12 and 14 days of inflammation respectively. The effect of the former was better than that of the latter. The effect of the mice in the model group was that of inflammation. Posterior body mass growth was inhibited and plantar thickness increased significantly. Conclusion: Intragastric administration of sheep cartilage C ¢ò can significantly alleviate the inflammatory response in mice with adjuvant arthritis.
